About Julie Ah-Fa

Julie Ah-Fa is a French botanical artist from Reunion Island. She lives in South Africa and is a member of the Botanical Artists Association of Southern Africa. She studied botanical art with Ann Harris and paints exclusively in watercolour.

She exhibited on several occasions in South Africa and was awarded a Bronze Medal for her first participation at the 2013 Kirstenbosch Biennale. Her first solo exhibition in Reunion Island was also a great success.

She’s one of the 44 acclaimed local and international botanical artists who took part in the prestigious Grootbos Florilegium, the first contemporary florilegium in Africa.
